Mat. McHugh and the stars of ‘First Love’ - a movie about about three girls from Phillip Island Australia, their true love for surfing and the ocean and their quest to make it to the mecca of the surfing world, Hawaii’s North Shore.

First Love has just been announced for cinema release both in Australia and in the USA and has just won Best Documentary and Best Emerging Film Maker at X-Dance (the Action Sports version of Sundance). Go girls!

Yesterday afternoon Mat made a video for his new facebook page featuring a song inspired by and dedicated to our late friend Andy Irons. The song, Love Come Save Me, is one of a handful that Mat has written for his new solo album that will see the light of day later this year. Check it out and let us know what you think. After a huge September of the USA and Canada we are very proud to announce The Beautiful Girls - Solo & Acoustic as support for the John Butler Trio - April Uprising North American Tour. Mat. McHugh and his guitar in a stripped back and intimate performance of songs from a career spanning eight years and 5 albums. Along with all the favourites from the TBG records, Mat will be pulling out a couple each night from his solo album, Seperatista which was recorded under the project name Mat McHugh & The BlackBird.
